Sewing, sewing, sewing seeds!
Sew here it is! I bought my first sewing machine today online. It should arrive shortly, and I will begin my new goal….becoming a fashionista for less! Also, sewing some darling little ditties and costumes for my lovey just like my mom did for me as a wee little one.
I can not wait for it to come! I am having a little buyers remorse only beacuase I would really like to begin my sewing adventures now!!! Oh well. Patience is a virtue. Patience is a virtue.

15 months (and a few days....)
Gia,
You are now fifteen months and sixteen pounds. By most standards, incredibly small. But for you, you are so big, cheeks with some chub and full of love.
As always, I am so proud to be your mommy.
I love when we sing and dance to "Long time ago in Bethlehem" in the kitchen.
You are starting to take a few very wobbly steps that really make you excited and then you lose your balance. It is such a treat to be around to watch these milestones.
When you awaken in the morning, you take your hands and "cozy up". It warms my heart just thinking of it.
Daddy takes you for rides around the house on his suitcase, in an empty laundry basket and this just makes you squeal with delights.
You have artwork posted in my office. Yes, I have turned into THAT mother. I love to show off your creations to people that could care less.
Daddy and I are your two favorite people in the world. This makes us the luckiest people on the planet.
You love to eat. You eat, and eat and eat, and don't gain an ounce.....you are the envy of all the girls.
Summer is approaching, and Daddy and I can not wait to see what your little legs kick like in the pool.....it appears that you are going to be an Olympic swimmer.
Everyday brings something new for us to be joyous about. I rejoice daily that I have the opportunity to share in your life. I love you Gi Gi.
Love,
Mommy

For dinner last night we had Albondigas Soup…..it is traditional Mexican fare, by you and I it would be considered Meatball soup…..it translates to 7 points. I also gnoshed on olives that I will count as three points. Putting me in a good spot for the day. (I didn’t eat my banana or orange, so I have to re tabulate my totals.)

In an effort to jumpstart motivation in 2008, I am going to include in my blog a daily post of my eating healthy efforts. Today, I have packed my breakfast, lunch and snacks for the day….just like I do for Gia.
Breakfast:
1/2c Slow Cooked Oatmeal 2 points
1 Small Orange 1 point
Snack:1 Banana 2 points
Lunch:Lemon Chicken Soup 3.5 points
Green Peas 2 points
Snack:
Orange 1 point
Used 11.5 points. 9.5 points remaining. I will blog about dinner tomorrow morning as well as any “activity points” that I earned from the night before.
I really don’t want to “lose” as much as make healthy choices all around. Being an example for Gia is my number one priority.
Happy New Year to all!
