15 months (and a few days....)

Gia,

You are now fifteen months and sixteen pounds. By most standards, incredibly small. But for you, you are so big, cheeks with some chub and full of love.

As always, I am so proud to be your mommy.

I love when we sing and dance to "Long time ago in Bethlehem" in the kitchen.

You are starting to take a few very wobbly steps that really make you excited and then you lose your balance. It is such a treat to be around to watch these milestones.

When you awaken in the morning, you take your hands and "cozy up". It warms my heart just thinking of it.

Daddy takes you for rides around the house on his suitcase, in an empty laundry basket and this just makes you squeal with delights.

You have artwork posted in my office. Yes, I have turned into THAT mother. I love to show off your creations to people that could care less.

Daddy and I are your two favorite people in the world. This makes us the luckiest people on the planet.

You love to eat. You eat, and eat and eat, and don't gain an ounce.....you are the envy of all the girls.

Summer is approaching, and Daddy and I can not wait to see what your little legs kick like in the pool.....it appears that you are going to be an Olympic swimmer.

Everyday brings something new for us to be joyous about. I rejoice daily that I have the opportunity to share in your life. I love you Gi Gi.

Love,
Mommy

So sweet! It is really fun when they start walking. I think it's easier to go places because they can play without being down on the dirty ground. You're so right - it WILL be a fun summer! I'm looking forward to it myself!

Oh my! They grow up so fast. I can remember my own daughter, Sammie (now 16 yrs) at just about the same age as Gia. She was light as a feather too, but mighty in spirit. May you enjoy every minute of Gia along the way. There is absolutely nothing better than being a mom!!
